About Me
Hi, I’m Amber! As the daughter of a publisher and editor, I can't remember a time where I haven't loved words. Sometimes writing them, often reading them and always, always scrutinizing them. My love of words was honed through the pursuit of an English literature degree, though my interest in technical writing wasn't born until I worked as a research assistant for a graduate counseling program.
I spent 10 years in Fayetteville, North Carolina, as a proud Army wife and mother to two amazing children and now reside in Houston, Texas, where I was born and raised. Now that both of my kids are in school, I find that my love of words has landed me in a job that I really love. Proofreading for court reporters is both hard work and immensely gratifying. I have read thousands and thousands of pages of transcripts and can honestly say that the job still really excites me. I feel honored to be a small part of such an important industry.
